Yellison Barn, North Yorkshire
This redundant barn, belonging to the Tempest Estates, was converted for use by the “Land Rover Experience”. Much of the original barn has been kept; a large Diocletian window at one end and an arched opening at the other were introduced, in the spirit of Georgian “model” farms, to bring more light into the interior and open up the spectacular views to the north. The old barn door has been replaced by a folding screen which allows for the requirement that vehicles can be driven into the building on occasion.
Other agricultural buildings on the site have been converted into offices and accommodation.
