New Country Houses

Cheshire

This new house replaces a Victorian farmhouse that was in poor condition and took no advantage of the beautiful views to the south. The inspiration for the design was John Nash’s campagna villas, particularly Cronkhill in Shropshire which stands in a similar situation, closely allied to farm buildings.

By removing the hedges around the former farmhouse and defining the boundary to the south and east with a ha-ha, the new house now sits in a park-like setting amidst lush Cheshire pastures.
